A Place Where No Dreams Come True...

Current Topic: In the middle of the forest you can't get any good lumber; So we decided to saw our own.

We thought it would be a good idea, being in the middle of a forest, to acquire a sawmill. The reasoning was sound however it was quickly overshadowed by a complete lack of experience and guidance on our part.

Saw logs rotting away Saw logs rotting away Saw logs rotting away

So we initially set up the basic sawmill at Uncle Waynes property because there were literally hundreds of logs to saw. What we didn't know was that many of the logs here are rotten and un-sawable. The resultant lumber would be useless. The reason that many of these logs are useless is because their processing is a low priority effort. Therefore they have sat here so long they have rotted away to worthless.

There are also many sawable timbers still and that's why we set the sawmill here in the first place. Unfortunately... As we were about to find out... Even though the sawmill was here. And there are logs. And the logs are going to go to waste if not used. And there is now a suitable method to profit by them. There is no available equipment to move them. Except for a broken-down Bobcat that we keep fueling-up but never get to use.
